Abstract

The crisis of false rationality and its impact on human alienation and work according to Marcuse


Abstract:The developments of science and technologies, although it is one of the most important gains of advanced industrial societies, it is not without negatives as well, its impact extends to the human being and all the political, social, economic and cultural systems that surround him. Marcuse noticed this matter and considered that the civilization of contemporary advanced societies is based on the concept of "work" and the chain of production and the subsequent consumer culture that leads to human alienation. However, this hegemony, unlike its predecessor, is hidden behind a mask of false rationality, and is entrenched in the gains of technology, technology, and machinery, and the luxury and facilitation they provide. Which, even if it seems less harsh and coercive than before, is in the end an "alienated work
