International intervention for humanitarian purposes between state sovereignty and the obligation to protect human rights

Abstract
The concept of humanitarian intervention has always been a pretext used by great powers to interfere in the affairs of other countries by various means, including military, to achieve their interests and ambitions, which have called into question this concept as to its validity in international jurisprudence. Therefore, this article discusses the evolution of the connotations of this concept and its trends and interactions in international jurisprudence and the Arab positions on it in light of the methods of use to wage wars against a number from Arab countries. Furthermore, the conflict of international humanitarian intervention with the principle of state sovereignty raises many questions that we will try to answer through this study, by examining whether the protection of human rights is an international responsibility incumbent on all members of the international community. What is the role of the international community in achieving humanitarian protection? What are the implications of this protection for state sovereignty?
