Abstract

This study aims to analyze the criminal protection of e-government in light of the enactment of punitive legislation to ensure the criminalization of all acts affecting information and communication technologies, and to deter perpetrators of these crimes by the adoption of penal sanctions, whether the perpetrator is a natural person or a legal person. Despite the serious effects of cybercrime, countries did not shrink from this option and rushed to equip information and communication technologies in all areas related to development and preferred the criminal protection mechanism of the e-government through judicial and security legislative cooperation, to combat cybercrime. It is the same option that the Algerian legislator chose when modifying the Penal Code.
