Abstract

This research paper deals with the societal security dilemma in the Sahel region, through the influence of the relational dimension of identity on the process of building the national state. First, the cognitive building of security theory and the societal security dilemma will be addressed. Second, clarify the relationship between identity, survival, and the building process. This study provides the importance of national identity in building the state, and the influence of the external factor in various security crises through the problem of identity.
