The Role of the Constitutional Council in Monitoring Elections

Abstract
The purpose of electoral monitoring is to ensure the validity of the elections, and their conformity with the texts and provisions governing them, in order to have a representative results; the Algerian constitution has assigned responsibility for this electoral oversight to the Constitutional Council. This paper addresses the importance of constitutional oversight of elections in the Algerian system, explaining the legal framework for the function of the Constitutional Council and the impact of its decisions in the same context.
