Abstract
The Arab protest movement is a historic turning point, as it touches a geostrategic area coveted by international powers, a region that was and remains important in the plans of US policy makers. This explains why the United States has mobilized all its resources to create strategic confusion in the region and to counter the interests of rival forces in order to assert its hegemony and ensure the security of its ally of always, Israel..
