Occidental Orientalism and Arab Occidentalism: Towards Building Bridges of Rapprochement and Mutual Understanding

Abstract
This paper is an attempt to tackle the problematic scientific founding of Occidentalism in Arab world, aiming to convert the Orient to an agent and a new theory-maker based on critique of the orientalist discourse while reading the Occident (West). Hence, this is through reviewing the Occidentalism project framing inspired by Mohamed Eid’s Arab Occidentalism book.
