This study aimed to shed light on how to read an image in a way that achieves the basics of critical thought through its components, semantic dimensions, and relationship to the written text. To read the image in this field, the study consisted of three sections: the first: a reading of the structure of the image, the second: the reading relationship between the visual text (the image) and the read (written), and the third: a reading of the dimensions of the image. Regarding the methodological framework of the study: Its treatment benefited from some structural and semiotic procedures within the limits of what responds to the text studied, and the study reached a number of results, perhaps the most important of which is: The image in Arabic language books for non-native speakers at King Khalid University goes beyond the stereotypical view when it is viewed as an educational tool whose function is limited to paving the way for the written text only. It aims to highlight the position and approach of this genius in dealing with the phenomenon of exception in the linguistic lesson through his book Characteristics. It also attempts to distinguish between exception and other terms labeled with deviation. Deviating from the general line of linguistic use and removing the negative burden placed on linguistic exceptions in the minds of many scholars. According to Ibn Jinni, exceptions are not an urgent scientific issue that grammarians came up with to impose their rules on the language, but rather it is a linguistic phenomenon that was generated by the language itself in the stages of its development and interaction with the environment throughout the ages. Ibn Jinni did not limit himself to describing the phenomenon of exception and classifying it according to the levels of human language in Al-Khasais, but rather he tried to provide an explanation that proves that the Arabs are too smart to violate their language arbitrarily. Rather, they violate the partial rules out of consideration for the general rules of mitigating or avoiding confusion and so on.</p> شيخ فال مصطفى جوب Copyright (c) 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 3 2 82 98 Exploring the Intersection of Pragmatics and Intercultural Communication in Moussa Konaté's La Malédiction du Lamantin https://revue.univ-oran2.dz/Revue/Dalil/index.php/about/article/view/99 <p>This paper examines the intersection of pragmatics and intercultural communication through the analysis of Moussa Konaté's novel, "La Malédiction du Lamantin."
