1. Originality and Exclusivity
  • Manuscripts submitted to SLLE must be original and should not have been previously published, nor be under consideration by another journal, conference, or edited volume.
  • Duplicate submission or redundant publication is strictly prohibited and will be treated as a violation of publishing ethics.
  1. Manuscript Format
  • Authors must follow the official SLLE manuscript template, available on the journal’s website.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.docx/.doc).
  • The text should be written in clear academic English, using consistent spelling (British or American, but not both).
  • Submissions should be prepared in a continuous, coherent academic style, avoiding segmentation into overly informal sections.
  1. Structure and Content
  • Each manuscript must include the following elements:
    • Title: concise, informative, and reflective of the study.
    • Abstract: between 150 and 250 words, summarising the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
    • Keywords: between 4 and 8 keywords, listed in alphabetical order.
    • Main Text: organised in a standard article structure (e.g., introduction, literature review, methodology, findings, discussion, conclusion).
    • References: formatted consistently according to the latest APA style (7th edition).
  • Non-Roman scripts in references (e.g., Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, etc.) must be transliterated into Roman script.
  1. Authorship and Cover Page
  • The cover page must be submitted, including:
    • Full title of the article.
    • Full name(s) of the author(s).
    • Institutional affiliation(s).
    • ORCID iD.
    • Contact details, with institutional email address strongly recommended.
  • To ensure a fair peer review, the main manuscript should not contain the author’s name(s), or identifying information.
  1. Length and Presentation
  • Manuscripts should typically be between 5,000 and 9,000 words (including references, tables, and appendices). Exceptions may apply to shorter research notes or longer review articles, subject to editorial approval.
  • All figures, tables, and charts must be clearly numbered, captioned, and referenced in the text.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that all images, tables, or data reproduced from other sources are properly credited and used with permission, where applicable.
  1. Submission Process
  • All papers must be submitted electronically.
  • By submitting to SLLE, authors confirm their agreement with the journal’s Ethics Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Corrigenda/Retraction Policy.
