Abstract

Knowing, on the one hand, that the reigning advertising discourse in Algeria lends itself to the same discursive practices as those applied in Western advertising. And on the other hand, that in order to work, advertising must be in tune with the socio-cultural trends of the public for which it is intended. We have held, through our modest contribution which in reality constitutes a questioning which invites not only linguists concerned with the status of the Arabic language in a constantly changing communication context. But, also the different socio-economic, academic (all disciplines combined) and political partners to get involved in a real multidisciplinary approach which would strive to move away from any stubborn ego which by trying to ignore the existence of the other , risks, in our opinion, endangering a linguistic heritage which is obliged to find its salvation thanks to its permeability to different linguistic realities.
