Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the process of teaching and learning foreign languages is revolutionizing the field of language education. AI tools give students the ability to practice speaking in an interactive and personalized way. Furthermore, AI-based applications can analyze student performance data to identify areas of weakness and propose targeted exercises to strengthen them.
In teaching Italian in particular, AI can play a crucial role. For example, speech recognition programs can help students to have a perfect pronunciation, while advanced translation algorithms make it easier to understand and learn vocabulary and grammatical structures. Personalized learning platforms, such as Duolingo and Babbel, use AI to create tailored learning paths, making learning Italian more accessible and engaging.
In addition to individual practice, AI can support teachers in classroom management and student assessment.
