Abstract

The importance of historical sources in preserving national memory

The Algerian revolution is considered as blood years for Algerian to get their freedom and to recover their National-sovereignty, The preservation of history is also a manifestation of the power of the state .Therefore, museums and historical document preservation centers are established and one of the sources for writing the history of the revolution is the archive, the oral narrative, personal notes and media, it’s necessary to search and explore these sources and use them using accurate historical methodology and respecting all techniques and scientific rules for writing the history of the revolution in local pens and preserving national memory.
