Abstract
In his work entitled On the Postcolony, Achille Mbembe suggests the concept of postcolony to account for postmodern Africa. This is in fact the science of morals through which the derelict human being becomes aware of their finitude due to the permanent confrontation with the most varied and violent forms of death. Starting from the idea that for each time and for each era, there exists a particular spirit that makes its own, its spirit, and refers to the set of practices, actions, "arts of doing" that characterize or translate the imaginary of the societies concerned, this author believes that what characterizes the postcolonial condition is the derisory, the picturesque, the grotesque, the obscene and the vulgar; He posits this as “the specific identity of a given historical trajectory: that of societies recently emerging from the experience of colonization… But more than that, the postcolony is a chaotic plurality, endowed with an internal coherence, … its own ways of fabricating simulacra or reconstructing stereotypes, a specific art of excess…” In this respect, the postcolony thus appears as the symptom of all the failures of a heterogeneous society
