Abstract

There is no doubt that epistemological studies of the history of contemporary science remain incomplete as long as our understanding of the history of Arab science remains fragmented. This is because a true understanding of any scientific concept is only possible if we understand how earlier scholars contributed to its construction and application. Therefore, linking the data of modern and ancient science becomes essential for understanding the transformations and development of science, its origins, and its theories. From this perspective, we have chosen to present a research paper that seeks to explore the features of astronomy in Algeria during the golden age of Islamic science, considering this period to be one of the most obscure and ambiguous in the history of Arab science. What were the features of astronomy among Algerian scholars? To what extent were they influenced by astronomical studies in Andalusia and Morocco?
