Abstract
Culture, which describes the shared structure of a group of individuals under the umbrella of what is called society, and within the psychology of superiority, societies, regardless of their level of development or backwardness, strive to preserve the fundamental structures of their culture—their distinctiveness. In contrast to globalization's aim of eliminating all cultural, social, and other differences between societies to make them all belong to a single international community—the globalized society—social transformation becomes a crucial epistemological and analytical condition for understanding the position of Algerian society between its locally shaped cultural divisions and its integration into the globalized society. This transformation is the urgent condition for analyzing the duality of cultural divisions and shared values. My fundamental question is: Is there a contradiction between the cultural divisions of the local social formation in Algerian society and shared values?
