Abstract
Philosophy once encompassed all sciences, serving as the vessel into which all questions about the universe and humanity were poured, before the sciences differentiated and separated from it. One of the most significant characteristics of modern scientific development is the ongoing process of differentiation, resulting in the formation of new scientific branches categorized as the physical sciences (utilitarian science) and the social and human sciences. However, a problem arises in light of this scientific development: the impact of the physical sciences on human aspects, and the relative lag in the development of the social and human sciences. Therefore, this research paper will examine the position of the American philosopher John Dewey, as he is among the philosophers who addressed this issue and raised the question of the division and separation that exists between the sciences.
