Abstract

Our purpose in examining the concepts of the will to power and the Übermensch is to offer a reading that diverges from the ideological interpretations that have attributed to Nietzsche meanings not found in his texts. Therefore, an aesthetic reading of these two concepts is the closest to an authentic interpretation. Hence, we maintain that these are aesthetic concepts coined by Nietzsche to expose nihilism, liberate humanity from the will to nothingness, and encourage an aesthetic, rather than a nihilistic, justification of the world.
