Abstract

In light of the scientific and technological developments witnessed in medical and biological sciences, which have enabled medicine to treat many intractable diseases, medicine still stands helpless before some hopeless cases, in which the patient experiences a state of pain that makes him wish to end his life with dignity, whether through suicide or through the assistance of the doctor or what is known as euthanasia, which has received mixed reactions between supporters and opponents, based on the fact that human life is considered sacred.
