Abstract

The issues of income distribution, control and use of natural resources, and the distribution of educational and job opportunities have imposed a shift towards formulating new principles of justice, based on awareness and common sense, and ensuring social justice and equity. This is a concern that accompanied John Rawls, with whom this concept witnessed a radical transformation, from justice as a comprehensive theory to an independent liberal theory. This transformation transcends the tyranny of utilitarianism and compensates for the crisis of the decline of Marxism and its emptiness resulting from a failure to understand social events based on the legacy of the social contract and the Kantian legacy, so that justice becomes, as equity, with what it carries of the possibility of application and what it provides of principles.
