Abstract

Functional integration between philosophy and literature

The relationship between philosophy and literature is an ancient and modern relationship, which developed according to the data of the distinctive intellectual construction of successive currents and positions, where philosophical thought seeks an exploratory depth, which finds its purpose only through literary rhetoric that increases its burden on the mind and conscience together, which is what the ancient Greeks practiced through their poems and speeches. Then this tide moved to the Middle Ages reconciled with the eloquence of Aristotle and his poetic art, extending to the modern era and the emergence of literay philosophers, especially in France, to further strengthen the relationship between the philosophical and literary field with postmodern thinkers, where the barriers between them became almost non-existent, starting from Nietzsche and others. This is why the history of cognitive integration between philosophy and literature cannot be denied in terms of subject matter, methodology, and goals as wellintegration
