Abstract

For the sake of faire humane memory "paul ricoeur as a model"

This research paper endeavors to elucidate the ethical responsibility posited by philosopher Paul Ricoeur for the custodian of memory, who bears the duty of retaining recollections of significant events in an individual's life. However, the latter is frequently susceptible to qualitative disorders and influenced by various factors that engender conflicting moral outlooks and engender bewilderment regarding any restored or reacquired history; any history is forgotten and even incapable of amassing all the intricacies of life experiences owing to symptoms and alterations that contribute to exacerbating the chasm of manipulation and forgetfulness, ultimately resulting in instances of exploitation, discord, and warfare... which can solely be surmounted through the establishment of an equitable and felicitous memory. This entails pardoning and absolving, albeit without erasure from recollection, a memory that enables the ego to coexist harmoniously with others within a shared cosmic realm governed by peace, notwithstanding the anguish of bygone times.. Keywords :just memory- history- oblivion- amnesty- the self and the other- paul ricoeur.
