Abstract

The speech of the German philosopher Emmanuel Kant, in his famous article, What is the Enlightenment, focused on establishing a practical philosophy that identified the characteristics of the Enlightenment person, which he presented in an inseparable form from the practical side, based on the application of moral education governed by the good will in the field of transactions and social relations, in addition to Giving priority to individual initiative in spreading the culture of tolerance and coexistence to activate global citizenship and lasting peace, so that this practical philosophy would be a safe path towards the era of modernity and enlightenment, where the free mind is used as an expression of a self aware of its rights and knows when to perform its dutie,our goal is to stand on the manifestation of this discourse in order to clarify its place in the history of philosophy.
