Euthanasia between the adoption of the law and the criminalization of Islamic law
Main Article Content
Abstract
The issue of euthanasia, or out of compassion, is one of the topics that have preoccupied jurists and jurists, especially in recent years with the development of medical science in the face of terminally ill diseases. The question here is: Does the doctor or another person have the right to end the life of the terminally ill patient? This issue led to a divergence of positions between supporters and opponents. From here emerges the problem to be addressed in this intervention, namely: What is the concept of euthanasia? And what is the legal ruling on it? What are the motives and reasons behind the adoption by some countries of man-made laws that allow and permit this type of killing, but do not criminalize it?
