Peer Review Process
Ensuring Academic Rigor and Scientific Research Integrity
The peer review process is an essential component of academic publishing at the Journal of At-Tadwin. It guarantees the high quality and credibility of scientific works. The journal adopts a Double-Blind review system, where the identities of both reviewers and authors are concealed to ensure absolute impartiality.
1. Research Submission and Ethical Screening
Researchers submit their work through the platform, ensuring compliance with the journal's guidelines, including:
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure.
- Ethical Approval (for studies involving field research on human subjects).
- AI Usage Statement: Mandatory transparency regarding any technical assistance from Generative AI tools.
2. Desk Review and Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial assessment to check:
- Scope Relevance: Alignment of the research with the journal's specializations in the humanities and social sciences.
- Plagiarism Check: Mandatory screening using advanced software to detect scientific plagiarism.
Decision: Initial rejection or referral to scientific peer review.
3. Specialized Scientific Peer Review
Two (or more) independent expert reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and scientific added value of the research.
- Soundness and validity of the applied methodology.
- Compliance with the APA Documentation System (7th Edition).
4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief issues one of the following decisions:
| Accept for Publication | Minor Revisions |
| Major Revisions | Reject Research |
5. Final Acceptance and Production
Following final approval, the manuscript moves to the formatting and proofreading stage prior to official publication.
