Abstract
This study examines how French political Orientalism shaped negative stereotypes of the Arab-Islamic world, portraying it as violent and backward while presenting the West as rational and superior. These depictions supported colonial agendas, justifying domination under the guise of modernization. It reveals how French Orientalists often linked Islam to violence, ignoring the true political and social causes of conflicts. The research calls for dismantling Orientalist narratives and advocates for justice, good governance, and mutual respect to encourage fairer East-West relations
