Abstract

Tribal sediments and violence in sporting circles

This article attempts to highlight the historical dimensions of violence which, in pre-Islamic societies, found its explanation in the Açabiya*. We assume that violence within sporting circles may also have the same factor as a determining factor. The examination of this hypothesis requires a comparative approach between the nature of violence, as it manifested itself before and as it can be directly observed today in sports circles. The analysis of the facts in the light of observation and comparison will verify the validity of the hypothesis.
