Abstract

Preserving the judicial archive is among the most important challenges facing the Ministry of Justice at the present time, due to a number of reasons, the most important of which are the huge accumulation of records since independence, and the diversity of archival materials, especially with the emergence of new materials that the archivist has never dealt with before, as well as the absence of a temporary storage place. This is what made the judicial archive differ in terms of its organizational structure in managing archival records. The Algerian state has given the archive sector great importance and established this importance with legal texts in order to make it more official and serious, considering the archive as the official reference that preserves memories and values ​​the past of peoples.
