Abstract

I borrowed a question from Sigmund Freud in his book "Civilization's Difficulty": What do women want? This great question has not yet been answered by anyone. However, this problem that Freud raised about the persistent desire of women constitutes, in fact, the intellectual, political, and philosophical core of the history of the feminist struggle for women's rights in the world as a whole and in the Arab world in particular, and which, in essence, represented the historical and intellectual beginnings of both Western and Arab feminist projects.
