Abstract

The search for a feminist model as a foundation for this research paper was fraught with hesitation and uncertainty. Choosing Ghazlan Hashemi's writings was no easy decision, given the growing presence of Arab women following the rapid transformations witnessed by our Arab societies, particularly on the political and social levels, both before and after the so-called Arab Spring. These transformations, while revealing that the Arab street has far surpassed its elite—who preferred their own world and theoretical discourse within air-conditioned halls, thus exposing a significant gap between them—also revealed what could be termed the nascent stages of a vibrant and evolving youth-led elite project. This project, in its diversity and quality, reflects the profound engagement of young people with societal issues, both theoretically and practically. We observe the birth pangs of a new Arab elite, whose features are beginning to emerge amidst the accelerating and diverse events that may have eluded the established elite, which may retain its classical character in the coming years. Perhaps the most significant aspect of this new elite project is the shattering of the dominance of male-dominated writings and the decline of... Its authority, its standards, and therefore its centrality
