Abstract

The feminist trend is one of the trends that has come to occupy an important space in the geography of contemporary Arab and Islamic thought. Despite the difficulties and obstacles that this trend has faced, as it is still struggling to gain recognition of its legitimacy, it has nevertheless been able to make its way in recent years and attract many followers of both sexes, and achieve a wide extension in the Arab and Islamic intellectual and political arena. It has even extended to various continents of the world, especially with regard to what has been termed “Islamic feminism”.
