Abstract

The methods and approaches to healing the soul among Sufis are as numerous as the paths to the perfect and unique Physician, as mentioned in the well-known saying among those versed in this art: "The path to God is as numerous as the breaths of the Creator." Therefore, whoever desires to escape the constraints of the ego and the physical, animalistic body—the material—and enter the realm of freedom must understand the profound and intrinsic connection between the higher world, represented by the First Emanation, and the various realms below it, culminating in the realm of the soul's attachment to the "metallic" body. This attachment binds the soul to all the desires of animal nature, distancing it from its ultimate goal and eternal happiness. This is the realm of loss, a state unknown to humankind from the moment the soul becomes bound to the body, except for those who can transcend animality and reach the proof of essence, the proof of "You will not pass through except by authority."
