Abstract

The identity of each group and nation is formed from a set of values ​​and cultural elements that distinguish it from others. Culture, both tangible and intangible, is of great importance in shaping the national character of each country. Algeria is among the countries that possess a culture characterized by diversity and richness, especially with regard to tangible culture or cultural industries. It possesses many industries and crafts with local affiliation and ancient historical roots. In this research paper, we will address one type of Algerian cultural industries, which is traditional crafts and industries, by highlighting the most important crafts for which Algeria is famous, and the problems that hinder their development and spread, along with a set of suggestions.
