Abstract
Anyone who examines current global politics, in all its diverse aspects and dimensions, will discover numerous manifestations of regression, folly, and fragmentation that now plague the politics of civilization worldwide. What undoubtedly deepens the wounds of global politics are those blind intellectual and cultural perceptions resulting from the egocentric and abhorrently self-centered vision of humanity in this globalized age. To confront this transformation and rectify the damage done to human civilization in general, the French philosopher Edgar Morin proposes a new project. This project aims to eradicate the savage aspects of contemporary civilization and the barbarity of human relations, manifested in the exploitation of man by man, the tyranny of power, selfishness, racial prejudice, cruelty, and misunderstanding. Through this project, he seeks to dedicate himself to the service of solidarity among individuals and groups within modern civilization. He also aims, through this latter project, to aspire to greater cooperation and fraternity in order to improve the human condition within this civilization.
