Editorial

Al-Tadwin Journal makes its appearance in the second semester of 2019. As is customary, the articles in this issue vary in terms of the topics addressed and the written language, featuring contributions from Algerian researchers who excelled in their arguments, alongside several Arab researchers presenting distinguished and diverse papers within the pages of this issue.

This new issue brings together a range of diverse articles. We chose to begin with Arab-Islamic heritage studies focusing on the philosophers Al-Kindi and Ibn Khaldun, before moving on to Arabic literature and linguistics through the Arabic novel and the translation of the Arabic language.

Following that, we address two pressing topics in the Arab intellectual arena: the subject of diversity and difference, and the problematics of citizenship.

Regarding local Algerian affairs, two articles are featured: the first examines historical cinematic films, while the second addresses the phenomenon of urbanization in Algeria.

This issue also includes two media-focused articles—one on social media platforms and the other on the challenges of journalistic work.

The articles written in French are similarly varied, ranging from a study on the artist's relationship with Algeria through the Oran Museum to psychological and legal studies concerning children's rights to a better life.
