This special issue of Al-Tadwin Journal comes as part of the scientific cooperation established between the Systems, Structures, Models, and Practices Laboratory on one hand, and the Department of Library Science at the University of Annaba on the other. The topic selected for discussion this year is: "Emerging Professions for Information Specialists in the Technological Era," given the importance of such topics in our contemporary time, where technology has become the most prominent factor influencing any desired scientific and civilizational progress.

Accordingly, several articles were selected, all focusing on digitization topics and the various roles that library specialists can perform in developing and advancing scientific research in Algerian universities.
