Feminism has long been described as "a struggle for women to gain equality in a male-dominated culture," an equality that, as a concept, has become a subject of debate and disagreement "whether in terms of its meaning, its precise implications, the methods for achieving this equality, or even the nature of the obstacles women face in this regard. Therefore, reading the history of feminism necessitates familiarizing oneself with the entire record of debates, schisms, and differing viewpoints," starting with what many believe about the concept of feminism and extending to the latest developments in the Western cultural scene in this field.
