Abstract

Nietzsche's trial of Romanticism is a trial of the last party, namely the music of Wagner, as the final stage of this Romantic scene. Therefore, we believe, as an observation we consider essential, that the "Wagner case" (Le cas Wagner), as Nietzsche wrote, will be brought forward by the latter to be tried first, starting from a cultural offense, not a musical criticism.
