Abstract

Documentary institutions are central to education, cultural dissemination, and societal advancement. They play a leading role in preserving, organizing, and providing diverse documents. Algerian legislation contributes to this by enacting laws and regulations governing the organization and management of information systems in Algeria, particularly those pertaining to the archives sector. University libraries are among the most important information systems in various countries, making them better equipped to organize and utilize diverse information sources. This has also led many countries to strive to establish, organize, and develop documentary institutions and foster cooperation between libraries and other institutions both locally and internationally.
