Abstract

Undoubtedly, discussing the crisis of modern culture in the West leads us directly to a large number of philosophical writings that, from the outset, sought to diagnose the manifestations of this crisis. We can mention, for example, writings such as Husserl's "The Crisis of European Sciences" or René Guénon's "The Crisis of the Modern World," but what concerns us specifically is the position of Hannah Arendt and Paul Ricoeur, the former through her attempt entitled "The Crisis of Culture" and the latter through his attempt on "The Crisis of Historical Consciousness in Europe."
