Abstract
The fundamental challenge facing any society that seeks to overcome dependency and underdevelopment and attain the level of progress achieved by advanced societies lies primarily in investing in its human resources. This requires continuous attention to the development of human competencies across various institutions in order to meet the evolving professional needs of their employees. In the digital era, this objective has become increasingly important, as rapid technological advancements demand continuous and up-to-date professional training to ensure effective contributions to the development of different sectors.
Academic libraries, in particular, are not exempt from these digital transformations. Consequently, enhancing the competencies of librarians and information specialists through continuous training and professional development has become a strategic priority. This requires providing the necessary technological infrastructure and designing training programs that enable staff to master digital technologies and effectively adapt to the digital environment
