Abstract
ABSTRACT: The feminist struggle is a polemic topic in an Africa still governed by phallocentric systems that imprison women or bury them in poverty. Based on this premise, this study attempts to explore Fatou Keita’s vision on the question of patriarchy in Rebelle. It is inspired by African social realities on the condition of women. This study draws on feminist concepts by answering Spivak’s question “can subordinates speak?” The study concludes that girls and women can break away from the patriarchal disposition.
RÉSUMÉ: Le combat féministe est un sujet d’actualité dans une Afrique toujours gouvernée par des systèmes phallocentriques qui emprisonnent la femme ou l’enterrent dans la misère. En s’appuyant sur cette prémisse, cette étude tente d’explorer la vision de Fatou Keita sur la question du patriarcat dans Rebelle. Elle s’inspire des réalités sociales africaines sur la condition des femmes.
