Abstract
ABSTRACT: This paper, founded on the premises of a postcolonial approach, sets out to question the fictionalisation of Laghouat genocide through the reinvestment and textualisation of archives and their simulation in the plot of Lazhari Labter's novel released in 2018: Laghouat. The analysis of the corpus selected for investigation confirmed that the genocide revisited through the reinvestment of archives attests to memory work which appears to be a restorative process from a personal point of view ; useful for posterity. Subsequently, it is a process through which the figure of the writer emerges, whose role is now fully assumed.
