Abstract
ABSTRACT: Samir Toumi rises, like other voices, on the current Algerian literary scene to denounce the overwhelming news of a youth struggling with a past not yet overcome, as the fiction brushes it in his novel "L’effacemen” where the mirror reflects neither the face nor the silhouette of the central character of the story, erected as a symbol of alienation of a whole hidden youth and psychologically bruised because it is a victim of historical legitimacy and sclerotic political thought. The analysis will demonstrate that the mirror without reflection is the allegory of an unsustainable social and ontological crisis in which a nascent generation left behind is bogged down. S. Toumi therefore urges the cult of the human instead of the cult of History. The discourse then desacralizes the falsified memory and revokes all historical referentiality to give pride of place to the controversy. In this perspective, the allegory is built as a privileged form of a disfigured, psychological and demystifying writing synonymous with catharsis with saving power.
RÉSUMÉ : Samir Toumi s’élève, à l’instar d’autres voix, sur la scène littéraire algérienne actuelle pour dénoncer l’actualité accablante d’une société aux prises avec un passé non encore dépassé, comme le brosse la fiction dans son roman « L’effacement » où le miroir ne reflète ni visage, ni silhouette du personnage central du récit, érigé comme symbole d’aliénation de toute une jeunesse occultée et psychologiquement meurtrie car victime de la légitimité historique et d’une pensée politique sclérosée. L’analyse démontrera que le miroir sans reflet est l’allégorie d’une crise sociale et ontologique insoutenable dans laquelle s’enlise une génération naissante laissée pour compte. S. Toumi exhorte, de ce fait, au culte de l’humain au lieu du culte de l’Histoire. Le discours désacralise alors la mémoire falsifiée et révoque toute référentialité historique pour faire la part belle à la controverse. Dans cette perspective, l’allégorie s’édifie comme forme privilégiée d’une écriture défigurée, psychologique et démythificatrice synonyme de catharsis au pouvoir salvateur.
