French Orientalist Ideology in The Translation of The Holy Qur'an The Case of Régis Blachère’s Translation الفكر الاستشراقي الفرنسي في ترجمة معاني القرآن الكريم ريجيس بلاشير أنموذجا
Main Article Content
Abstract
Since the revelation, the Holy Qur'an has been the focus of concern for thinkers of all races and creeds who, in addition to studying and examining it, translated it into their languages in their own way and according to various methods. The French Orientalists, themselves, devoted themselves body and soul, like their equals throughout the world, to studying and translating the last sacred book according to their ideological standards. Thus, they became prolific, and Régis Blachère is first and foremost with his translation entitled: The Qur'an, al-Qur'an (1966). In fact, this study aims to analyze and compare the French version of the Holy Qur'an by this translator with the original, which leads to an orientalist tendency that Jean-René Ladmiral (2014) calls: Ultra-ciblism, which manifests itself repeatedly and at several levels, classified by Mohammed Farghal (2015) in the category of ideological adaptation
