Vol 18 No 1 (2026): Journal AT-TADWIN
Editorial
In Volume 18, Issue 1, published in July 2026, Al-Tadwin Journal continues its academic journey by issuing a scientific space, thereby reaffirming its mission to consolidate the culture of rigorous academic research and to provide a space for dialogue between various knowledge fields, in light of the rapid transformations the world is witnessing at the intellectual, social, legal, and technological levels. Since its inception, the journal has been keen to serve as an open scientific platform for original studies that meet the standards of quality and peer review, contributing to enriching knowledge and generating critical perspectives capable of understanding real-world questions and envisioning future horizons.
The issue opens with a study examining fifth-generation warfare and digital protection mechanisms through an approach inspired by the theses of Jean Baudrillard, discussing the transformations brought about by the digital space in the nature of conflicts and the mechanisms of influence and control. It also includes a study exploring sport as a space for social upbringing and the promotion of citizenship values among youth, highlighting the educational and social roles of sports practice in building the individual and society.
In the legal field, the issue addresses a highly timely topic: international law’s response to misinformation during pandemics, by investigating ways to balance the protection of the right to communication with the requirements of global security—an issue that has become one of the most prominent challenges facing the international legal system in the digital age.
As for the philosophical field, the issue features a study titled "In Defense of Philosophy and the Necessity of Learning It," inspired by Professor El-Bukhari Hamana's project in highlighting the critical and educational function of philosophy and its importance in developing free thinking and establishing a culture of dialogue. The issue is also honored to publish an Arabic translation of a philosophical text by Wilhelm Dilthey on the hermeneutic dimension in his global philosophical thought, reinforcing the journal's openness to thought and enriching the Arabic library with rigorous academic translations that contribute to broadening the horizons of research and reception.
This diversity in topics, languages, and scientific approaches embodies the vision adopted by Al-Tadwin Journal, based on encouraging interdisciplinary interaction, opening up to contemporary intellectual issues, and offering researchers the opportunity to contribute to the production of original scientific knowledge that meets the demands of the current stage and keeps pace with successive developments in various research fields.
As the editorial board places this issue in the hands of researchers and readers, it renews its thanks and gratitude to the esteemed researchers, reviewers, and members of the scientific and advisory boards who contributed to bringing this work to light in accordance with approved academic standards. It also reaffirms its continued support for serious scientific research and welcomes contributions from researchers across various universities and research centers inside and outside the country, out of its belief that rigorous scientific knowledge is the foundation of intellectual development and a bridge for communication and dialogue between cultures.
