Abstract
Western philosophy focused on the dialectic of the ego and the other as two necessary conditions for achieving and embodying human existence, and the pioneers of modern an d contemporary philosophers focused on the importance of the self and what corresponds to it and opposes it in reality. And spirituality, and with this synergy and harmony existing between the self and the other, existence continues, and each party achieves its importance and necessity for survival and for contributing to the construction of existence, and accordingly, what is the importance of my existence in relation to the other through Western philosophy, and is the other necessary for my survival? Can humanity transcend the dialectic of the ego and the other, and what are the contributions of Western philosophers to that?
