Social representations about methods of treating mental disorders among university students

Abstract
The article deals with the content and content of social representations about methods of treating mental disorders among university students, that is, the ideas and beliefs they hold about these methods, and for that, the descriptive approach was relied upon, relying on the serial evocation technique that was applied to a sample of (50) university students, where they were chosen by the simple random sample method, and we reached the following results:
- The social representations of university students on methods of treating mental disorders are characterized by differences and diversity, as there are those who reduce them to legal refinement, reading the Qur’an and carrying amulets, and there are those who prefer to go to a psychologist and treat him cognitive and psychological.
- The results also showed the extent of the influence of the social and cultural environment on students' representations about methods of treating mental disorders, as we note the great influence of the beliefs that socialization has instilled in them on their representations.
