Abstract

This research addresses the idea that cultural studies represent a bold attempt by the new generation to enhance their creativity and assert their existence by exploiting "surface culture." This culture reflects a shift from focusing on deep social values to preoccupation with fast, superficial standards, which has led to the spread of cultural studies that contrast with elite culture and contribute to the growth of society. With the advancement of knowledge technology, quick access to culture has become a common approach among intellectuals, especially in the age of social media. This shift reflects a development in the perception of new generations, who no longer pay attention to traditional cultural references. Cultural studies aim to challenge and deconstruct these references, reflecting a deviation from modernist art, which relied on the transparency of reality and its reflective response.
