Abstract
Philosophers of history, have been concerned with exploring the problem of civilization, its foundations, and its decline. One of the most significant contributions to this issue is the cyclical theory of civilizations. This theory is often associated with the name of Giambattista VICO, who is considered one of its foremost proponents.
The research paper highlights on the theory of cyclical succession of civilizations from the perspective of Giambattista VICO. We will examine the major historical stages that civilizations go through and identify the characteristics of each stage. Furthermore, we will attempt to connect this conceptual framework to the contemporary civilizations
