Abstract
ABSTRACT: The intersection of fiction and history generates aesthetic issues that engage the writer in the ways of a writing that makes him particular. This is the case of Mouloud Feraoun, whose work is permeated from all sides by historical references revealing a manifest determination to write his country and its history, by crushing the silences, the falsifications and the gray areas of the 'Official History of the Colonial Period. For Mouloud Feraoun, as for so many other Algerian writers, his commitment has served a lot to motivate his choices, to justify his ideology. The author did not fail to tell history, to testify and to reveal to his readers another facet of this period of Algerian history, notably in La cité des roses, Lettres à ses amis, and more. deeply, and very explicitly in his Journal 1955-1962, where he did not fail to tell history.
